I absolutely love the summer, but don’t do well with extreme heat, and was lucky enough to spend my summers growing up (and parts of my subsequential adult summers) in Northeast PA.  I was also privy to a newer home that doesn’t overheat, a backyard swimming pool, and plenty of friends with pools and lakes of their own.

Manayunk Riverfest

I’m a big fan of Manayunk, and due to it’s (sort of) close proximity and a few good friends entrenched in it’s hills, I frequently end up there on weekends I promise myself I’m going to stay in Lancaster and save money (2/3rds of my weekends that start with this noble goal don’t end well).

Xfinity Live!

I’m going to be honest, hate the exclamation point in “Xfinity Live!”  Locations shouldn’t have puncutation.  Just sharing my opinion, moving on. “Xfinity Live!”, or what I from here on out will refer to as the Xfinity Center, is the entertainment center in Philadelphia located in the South Philly Sports Complex where the Spectrum used to be.

Peach Music Festival

More to add to the Summer 2012 to do list. One of my favorite summer activity is concerts in the lawn section at Montage Mountain. In fact, I used to have personal policy that if I new at least two songs and the tickets were under $30.00, I’d go just for the hell of it.
